• Types of footwear and the use of courts (Skateboards, bikes etc) cannot be easily controlled.
• Proximity of trees creates shade, the sap from trees can reduce the life of the surface and paint coatings
• Leaf debris, dirt and pollution also reduce the life of the surface and paint coating.
• Dirt and grit can produce an abrasive layer on the surface that accelerates wear.
• Prolonged exposure to damp conditions can lead to premature failure of the paint coating.
• Excessive shade, moss, leaf debris and puddles due to poor surface drainage will all prevent the surface from drying completely.
  

Refurbishment
Requirements depend upon the type of surface. Macadam Surfaces should have a life span in excess of 20 years but Artificial Grass and Polymeric Surfaces will need to be Rejuvenated and Refurbished at regular intervals.
